This blog is about splitboarding and occasionally telemark skiing because these are things that I think are rad and inexpensive ways to access the backcountry. Because they are more dirtbag ways of getting around the mountains, they embody a Do It Yourself attitude and simplicity that has always fascinated me.

Cooke City 12-8 - 12-9
Headed down to Cooke for some sled assisted splitboarding. 10 inches of fresh made the riding fun, but stability was an issue on a variety of slopes.
So we stuck to the trees. Dave breaking trail.
Ryan is the biggest sledneck I know and the master of shuttles.
